    WELLINGTON: Properties in New Zealand’s capital had been flooded with faeces and sanitary merchandise on Friday (Jun 5) after an in a single day storm blocked wastewater pipes, town’s utilities firm mentioned.

    Wellington Water mentioned the wastewater overflow within the picturesque suburb of Island Bay was the results of a blocked predominant.

    “There’s a suction truck onsite on the overflow,” Wellington Water mentioned in a press release.

    “We’re conscious of numerous properties with overflows due to the mains blockage. We’re working with property house owners to help with cleansing and disinfecting.”

    Island Bay resident Richard Peters informed nationwide broadcaster RNZ the “disgusting” scenario worsened when the flooding went down.
