    SYDNEY: An Antarctic polar blast swept throughout elements of New Zealand’s South Island on Tuesday (Aug 4), bringing snow to sea stage and icy temperatures that compelled highway closures and disrupted faculties.

    Snow blanketed Dunedin, the South Island’s second-largest metropolis, prompting police to induce residents to keep away from journey until completely essential due to icy roads.
