    SEOUL: North Korea on Monday (Feb 3) criticised US Secretary of State Marco Rubio for calling it a “rogue state” in a media interview, saying his feedback don’t assist US pursuits, state media KCNA stated.

    North Korea’s international ministry stated the nation will reply strongly to hostile US provocations, KCNA reported.

    It’s North Korea’s first criticism of the Trump administration since President Donald Trump re-entered the White House on Jan 20, Yonhap information company stated.

    The ministry additionally condemned United States’ new missile defence defend plan, saying that it makes it mandatory for North Korea to strengthen its personal navy energy, KCNA reported.

    Trump final week signed an order that “mandated a course of to develop an ‘American Iron Dome'”, a next-generation US missile defence defend in opposition to ballistic, hypersonic, cruise missile and different types of aerial assault.

    “The concept of a brand new missile defence system, which remembers the spectre of the harmful ‘Star Wars’ plan of … the Chilly Battle, poses a danger of justifying an arms race beneath the pretext of dealing with the ‘menace’ of adversaries, no matter its feasibility,” North Korea’s international ministry stated, in accordance with KCNA.

    “The more and more harsh international safety setting urgently requires us to continually develop self-defence capabilities primarily based on nuclear deterrence.”
