US President Donald Trump’s punishing tariffs on items from Canada and Mexico are on maintain for a month, averting for now a devastating commerce conflict amongst North America’s allies.
However US levies on Chinese language merchandise have gone into impact – and Beijing has hit again with duties of its personal. It accuses Washington of unilateralism and has filed a grievance with the World Commerce Group.
President Trump says the US has been ripped off by “each nation on the earth”.
