    LONDON: UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer and US President Donald Trump spoke on Sunday (Mar 30) and mentioned “productive” talks in the direction of a UK-US commerce deal, the British Prime Minister’s Downing Avenue workplace stated on Sunday.

    Since Britain’s exit from the European Union initially of the last decade successive UK governments have sought to strike a commerce take care of the US.

    “They mentioned the productive negotiations between their respective groups on a UK-US financial prosperity deal, agreeing that these will proceed at tempo this week,” a press release learn.

    “They agreed to remain in contact within the coming days.”

    Trump himself has dangled the prospect of a “nice” deal that might assist the UK keep away from, or a minimum of soften, the blow attributable to the tariffs the US president has promised.

    In contrast to the EU, Britain has declined to retaliate towards the tariffs already imposed on the nation’s metal business.
