    GAZA CITY: A video recovered from the cellphone of an support employee killed in Gaza alongside different rescuers reveals their last moments, in accordance with the Palestine Crimson Crescent, with clearly marked ambulances and emergency lights flashing as heavy gunfire erupts.

    He was amongst 15 humanitarian personnel who were killed on Mar 23 in an assault by Israeli forces, in accordance with the United Nations and the Palestine Crimson Crescent Society (PRCS).

    The Israeli army has stated its troopers “didn’t randomly assault” any ambulances, insisting they fired on “terrorists” approaching them in “suspicious automobiles”.

    Navy spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Nadav Shoshani stated that troops opened fireplace on automobiles that had no prior clearance from Israeli authorities and had their lights off.

    However the video obtained by AFP on Saturday (Apr 4) seems to contradict the Israeli army’s claims, exhibiting ambulances travelling with their headlights and emergency lights clearly flashing.

    The video, apparently filmed from inside a shifting automobile, captures a pink fireplace truck and ambulances driving by means of the evening.

    The automobiles cease beside one other on the roadside, and two uniformed males exit. Moments later, intense gunfire erupts.

    Within the video, the voices of two medics are heard – one saying, “the automobile, the automobile”, and one other responding: “It appears to be an accident.”

    Seconds later, a volley of gunfire breaks out, and the display screen goes black.

    PRCS vice-president Marwan Jilani instructed a press convention on the UN headquarters in New York that the video was recovered from the physique of one of many deceased support staff.

    These killed included eight PRCS workers, six members of the Gaza civil defence company and one worker of the UN company for Palestinian refugees, also called UNRWA.
