    WASHINGTON: Violent storms battering the central-eastern United States have killed at the very least 16 individuals, officers stated, with the Nationwide Climate Service warning on Saturday (Apr 5) of “extreme” flash flooding within the coming days.

    A line of fierce storms stretching from Arkansas to Ohio has broken buildings, flooded roadways and produced dozens of tornadoes in latest days.

    Tennessee was hardest hit by excessive climate, with state authorities saying on Saturday that 10 individuals had died throughout the western a part of the state.

    Two individuals had been killed on account of floods in Kentucky, in response to state Governor Andy Beshear, together with a toddler who was “swept away by floodwaters”.

    Images shared on social and native media confirmed widespread injury from the storm throughout a number of states, with houses torn aside, toppled timber, downed energy strains and overturned automobiles.

    “Extreme, widespread flash flooding is predicted” into Sunday in components of the central-eastern area, the Nationwide Climate Service (NWS) stated, warning that “lives and property are in nice hazard.”
