    Why is King County losing taxpayer cash on a single-item particular election that would simply have been added to final November’s poll? On April 22, King County held a particular election mail-in poll for a single merchandise, searching for renewal funding for a fingerprint identification system. The county has recognized since 2018 that the levy would expire on the finish of 2024. If accredited, it would elevate $27 million per yr. With out judging the benefit of the measure, I’m astounded that King County should conduct a particular election costing $4.6 million for a poll measure that the county may simply have scheduled for final November.
