Most of the dizzying spate of Govt Orders issued by President Trump defy the separation of powers, due course of and, certainly, the very foundation of our system of legal guidelines, and the Structure itself. It’s heartening to learn that the College of Washington (“UW profs push for a ‘NATO’ defense pact — against our own government,” April 23, Danny Westneat) and Seattle-based regulation agency Perkins Coie (“Law firms fighting Trump to ask judges to permanently block executive orders,” April 22, Nation & World) will not be cowed but and are certainly resisting President Trump’s questionable efforts to form the functioning of our authorities and our every day lives. And resist it in courts we should as a result of the opposite department of presidency, the Congress, has not asserted its dutiful authority, and the opposition, the Democratic Occasion, has nonetheless to seek out its voice.

I sincerely hope the judicial department will curtail a few of President Trump’s efforts to upend our life.

    Murali Sivarajan, Seattle
