    Re: “DOJ opens inquiry into new WA law requiring clergy to report abuse” (Could 5, Regulation & Justice):

    I applaud Senate Invoice 5375, signed by Gov. Bob Ferguson into legislation Could 2, that makes clergy necessary reporters of suspected baby abuse or neglect to the authorities, even when it’s a matter heard by a priest in confession. Clergymen now be a part of an entire host of pros — like medical personnel and college personnel — who’re charged with the welfare of our youngsters.

    Youngster abuse and neglect are heinous and merciless. Individuals who enchantment to the divine, and search God’s forgiveness by confessing such crimes within the confessional, shouldn’t be absolved from receiving earthly justice.
