Mount Rainier and our nationwide parks are a part of the “eternally” enterprise, as they have been protected to be loved by generations previous, current and future. Nonetheless, parks don’t stay protected eternally with out the continuing work of all of us. They require individuals keen to adapt and act on challenges, from crowding to local weather change.
Within the final decade, Mount Rainier noticed a greater than 30% improve in visitation, to 1.6 million yearly. That improve in visitation, concentrated throughout the summer time months, threatened the park’s “eternally” nature.
