    SEOUL: An affiliation of Korean People in Los Angeles has criticised Donald Trump Jr, the son of the USA president, for “reckless” feedback on social media and urged him to not exploit a riot that devastated their neighborhood 33 years in the past.

    The Korean American Federation of Los Angeles additionally stated an operation by the US administration to round up suspected undocumented immigrants lacked “due authorized procedures”.

    Donald Trump Jr posted {a photograph} of a person with a rifle on a rooftop on X with a message: “Make Rooftop Koreans Nice Once more!” referring to actions by the Korean American neighborhood in the course of the 1992 race riots in Los Angeles.

    The federation, in separate statements, expressed concern over the developments in Los Angeles over the past week and stated their companies have been critically affected by the crackdown and arrests.

    “Whereas the unrest has not but subsided, Donald Trump Jr … confirmed the recklessness of posting a publish on X on Sunday (Jun 8) mocking the present unrest by mentioning the ‘Rooftop Korean’ from the LA riots 33 years in the past,” it stated in an announcement on Monday, Los Angeles time.

    “Because the eldest son of the present president and an influencer with roughly 15 million followers, his actions may pose an enormous danger in these icy occasions, and we strongly urge the previous trauma of the Korean folks be by no means, ever exploited for any function.”
