    Re: “SPD interim Chief Barnes’ defiant words put city at risk” (June 12, Opinion):

    I heard interim Chief Shon Barnes’ feedback in another way than Sakara Remmu. I heard Chief Barnes say that he would defend the residents of Seattle, that he would defend our proper to freedom of speech.

    I felt reassured that the Seattle Police Division is on our facet, the facet of residents of Seattle. We want the SPD on our facet in these turbulent instances. We do have the ability to withstand navy occupation. It’s the voice of the folks supporting democracy.
