    PARIS: France will ban smoking on seashores and in parks, public gardens and bus shelters from Sunday (Jun 29), the federal government mentioned.

    The decree, printed within the official authorities gazette on Saturday, will even ban smoking outdoors libraries, swimming swimming pools and colleges, and is geared toward defending youngsters from passive smoking.

    The decree didn’t point out digital cigarettes. Violators of the ban will face a wonderful of €135 (US$158).

    Cafe terraces are excluded from the ban.
