WASHINGTON: US President Donald Trump on Saturday (Jul 19) insisted that the US bombing of Iranian nuclear amenities “utterly destroyed” the websites after a report said that some had largely survived.

On his Reality Social platform, Trump reiterated his frequent declare that “all three nuclear websites in Iran had been utterly destroyed and/or OBLITERATED.”

He stated it might “take years to convey them again into service and, if Iran needed to take action, they might be a lot better off beginning anew, in three completely different places.”

US HIT IRAN’S NUCLEAR SITES IN JUNE

US bomb and missile assaults struck Iran’s controversial nuclear program on June 22, hitting the uranium enrichment facility at Fordo, south of Tehran, in addition to nuclear websites in Isfahan and Natanz.

The bombings, carried out similtaneously an Israeli marketing campaign towards Iranian nuclear and navy infrastructure, had been billed by Washington as a knockout blow to a years-long covert effort to construct nuclear weapons.

Iran insists it has not tried to weaponise its civilian nuclear energy program.
