TEL AVIV: Israeli far-right Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich introduced work would begin on a long-delayed settlement that may divide the West Bank and reduce it off from East Jerusalem, a transfer his workplace stated would “bury” the thought of a Palestinian state.
The Palestinian authorities, allies and marketing campaign teams condemned the scheme, calling it unlawful and saying the fragmentation of territory would rip up any internationally backed peace plans for the area.
