    WASHINGTON: US President Donald Trump and Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese on Monday (Oct 20) signed a brand new settlement to spice up cooperation on uncommon earths and demanding minerals, a part of efforts to scale back reliance on China for key industrial supplies.

    Talking on the White Home, Trump mentioned the deal had been within the works for a number of months. Albanese described it as an “$8.5 billion pipeline able to go,” with each international locations committing US$1 billion every over the subsequent six months for joint tasks, together with mineral processing.

    “The US and Australia are strengthening our power and know-how safety collectively,” Trump mentioned.

    CRITICAL MINERAL AGREEMENT
