    PHILADELPHIA: US Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy stated Friday (Oct 24) he expects extra flight delays as air site visitors controllers put together to overlook their first paychecks, with the federal government shutdown now stretching into its twenty fourth day.

    Some 13,000 air site visitors controllers and about 50,000 Transportation Safety Administration officers are working with out pay throughout the shutdown. Controllers will miss their first full paycheck on Tuesday.

    “I believe as we get nearer to Tuesday after which after, you’re going to see way more disruption,” Duffy instructed Fox Information. He added the FAA’s air site visitors controller academy will run out of cash inside weeks, with some college students already withdrawing.
