MOSCOW: The potential for one other assembly between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump is on the agenda, a senior Russian diplomat has mentioned.

“I would not rule something out,” Deputy Overseas Minister Sergei Ryabkov mentioned in an interview for the state-owned Worldwide Affairs journal, printed on Saturday (Nov 22).

“The seek for a manner ahead continues,” he mentioned.

Ryabkov mentioned contacts between Russia and the US had not been suspended, and channels for dialogue continued to perform.

Trump and Putin last met in Alaska in August, however failed to provide any settlement to resolve or pause Moscow’s battle in Ukraine. A subsequent plan to fulfill in Budapest was suspended indefinitely.

“We’re engaged on an ongoing foundation. Now we have well-established codecs and channels. Not all of those channels are seen or audible, not all of them should be mentioned publicly, however the truth stays that every part is in working order.”

Ryabkov mentioned the progress in establishing dialogue between Russia and the US was “spectacular”.
