    WASHINGTON: The FBI has requested interviews with six Democratic members of america Congress who, in a video message, advised members of the army they will legally refuse to hold out illegal orders, a Justice Division official advised Reuters on Tuesday (Nov 25). 

    The Pentagon on Monday threatened to recall Senator Mark Kelly, a Navy veteran and one of many six lawmakers, to energetic obligation doubtlessly to face army fees over what Secretary of Conflict Pete Hegseth described on social media as “seditious” acts. 

    President Donald Trump, who critics have stated has sought to harness the facility of the federal government to attempt to stifle dissent, accused the six Democrats of sedition and stated in a social media put up that the crime is punishable by dying.

    The Justice Division official, who spoke on situation of anonymity, stated the FBI interviews with the lawmakers had been to find out “if there’s any wrongdoing, after which go from there”. 

    The FBI is headed by Trump appointee Kash Patel.

    In a memo made public on Tuesday, Hegseth referred Kelly to the secretary of the Navy for “doubtlessly illegal feedback” made within the video final week. Hegseth, within the memo, stated he needed a quick on the end result of the overview by Dec 10.
