    WASHINGTON: The Afghan suspect within the shooting of two National Guard members in Washington might have been radicalised after coming into the US, Homeland Safety Secretary Kristi Noem stated when questioned about his motive on Sunday (Nov 30) discuss reveals.

    Rahmanullah Lakanwal, 29, faces a first-degree homicide cost within the November 26 capturing that left a 20-year-old guardsman useless and one other critically wounded.

    “I’ll say we consider he was radicalised since he is been right here on this nation,” Noem stated on NBC’s “Meet the Press”.

    “We do consider it was by way of connections in his dwelling neighborhood and state, and we’ll proceed to speak to those that interacted with him, who had been his members of the family, who discuss to them,” stated Noem throughout a separate interview on ABC.

    Lakanwal entered the US in 2021 as a part of a large airlift by then-president Joe Biden’s administration through the US navy withdrawal and subsequent return to energy of Taliban forces.

    A resident of the western US state of Washington, Lakanwal allegedly drove cross-country to hold out the capturing a couple of blocks from the White Home – an assault that shocked Individuals on the eve of the Thanksgiving vacation.
