    PARIS: A water leak final month broken tons of of books within the Egyptian antiquities division on the Louvre, underscoring the deteriorating state of the world’s most visited museum simply weeks after a daring jewel heist uncovered safety flaws.

    Specialist web site La Tribune de l’Artwork reported that round 400 uncommon books had been affected, blaming poor pipe situations. It stated the division had lengthy sought funds to guard the gathering from such dangers with out success.

    Le Louvre’s deputy administrator, Francis Steinbock, advised BFM TV on Sunday (Dec 8) the water pipe leak involved one of many three rooms of the library of the Egyptian antiquities division.
