    SIA, other Asian airlines cancel several New York flights due to snowstorm

    SINGAPORE: Singapore Airways (SIA) was amongst a number of Asian carriers that cancelled flights to and from New York because the US state braced for a snowstorm on Friday (Dec 26).

    • SQ26 departing Frankfurt for New York (John F Kennedy) on Friday at 8.35am
    • SQ21 departing New York (Newark) for Singapore on Saturday at 5.45pm
    • SQ22 departing Singapore for New York (Newark) on Saturday at 5.30am

    SIA stated it is going to be contacting all affected prospects to tell them concerning the cancellations, including that different flights could be affected because the state of affairs stays fluid.

    “Prospects affected by the flight cancellations might be reaccommodated on various flights or can search a full refund of the unused portion of their ticket,” it added.
