    Yemen’s foremost southern separatists ‍have determined to disband following talks in Saudi Arabia, the secretary-general of the organisation has introduced.

    The Southern Transitional Council (STC) Secretary-Basic Abdulrahman Al-Subaihi stated in a broadcast on Yemeni tv on Friday that the dissolution of the group was taken to protect peace and safety within the south and in neighbouring nations.

    He praised “the measures taken by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the options it has offered that meet the wants of the individuals of the South”.

    Nevertheless, there was no instant ‍remark from these members of the separatist group who will not be collaborating within the ‍talks in Riyadh.

    The STC had stated it had misplaced contact with all members ‍of the delegation in Riyadh, indicating a cut up was rising inside the group.

    A feud between Saudi Arabia and the UAE that got here to gentle after the STC, which Riyadh says is backed by Abu Dhabi, launched an offensive in opposition to Saudi-backed Yemeni authorities troops in December.

    On Thursday, the Saudi Arabia-led coalition in Yemen stated the STC chief Aidarous ‌al-Zubaidi had fled to the UAE through Somaliland after skipping the talks in Riyadh, accusing the UAE of smuggling him in a foreign country.
