    WASHINGTON: US First Woman Melania Trump made a uncommon political intervention Tuesday (Jan 27) as she referred to as for “unity” after federal agents killed two people throughout immigration raids in Minneapolis. 

    However in an interview to advertise the discharge of her self-titled documentary this week, the Slovenian-born former mannequin nonetheless appeared to place the blame on demonstrators by calling for them to “protest in peace.”

    Her husband, President Donald Trump, has sought to pivot amid a rising backlash over the killing on Saturday of Alex Pretti, the second individual shot useless by immigration brokers in Minneapolis this month. 

    “We have to unify. I am calling for unity,” Melania informed “Fox and Associates” when requested for her message in regards to the shootings and the protests in Minneapolis.

    The 55-year-old added that President Trump had a “great call” with the Democratic governor of Minnesota and mayor of Minneapolis “and they’re working collectively to make it peaceable and with out riots.”

    “I am in opposition to the violence, so please, if we protest, protest in peace, and we have to unify in these instances,” she stated, talking in opposition to a backdrop of the brand for her film “Melania.”
