    BRUGELETTE, Belgium: Even within the depths of winter, guests to Belgium’s famend Pairi Daiza zoo can now step into the guts of the tropics.

    After 5 years of development, the zoo has unveiled Edenya – the world’s largest tropical greenhouse – a glass-covered cover spanning 4ha, roughly the scale of six soccer fields.

    The habitat, which opened this month, connects a number of tropical environments, from rainforests and rivers to seashores and cliffs, in a single ecosystem.

    AN IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCE

    Constructed at a price of about US$230 million, Edenya provides guests an immersive rainforest expertise unfold throughout 5 totally different viewing ranges.

    From the higher walkways, the total scale of the greenhouse comes into view, although the ecosystem itself continues to be evolving.

    Over time, the bushes are anticipated to develop tall sufficient to achieve these higher ranges, progressively remodeling the inside right into a dense jungle.
