    WASHINGTON: “Important gaps” persist between the USA and Japan over what needs to be the primary tasks beneath Tokyo’s US$550-billion investment package, Japanese commerce minister Ryosei Akazawa stated on Thursday (Feb 12).

    Akazawa is in Washington to debate the colossal funding promised within the US in alternate for decreasing threatened tariffs on Japan.
