    JERUSALEM: Israel’s international ministry mentioned on Saturday (Mar 14) that “an antisemitism epidemic is raging” within the Netherlands, after an in a single day blast outdoors a Jewish college in Amsterdam.

    “The place will the subsequent assault be? The Dutch authorities must do far more to struggle antisemitism,” the ministry mentioned, in a social media put up.

    An in a single day explosion in opposition to an exterior wall of a Jewish college in Amsterdam brought about no accidents, and authorities have opened an investigation into the incident.

    The incident comes after night-time assaults this week in entrance of synagogues within the Belgian metropolis of Liege and the Dutch port metropolis of Rotterdam.

    Late on Saturday, Israel’s President Isaac Herzog mentioned he was “shocked by the antisemitic assaults”.

    “I name on the Dutch authorities to accentuate their efforts to fight antisemitism, incitement and terror in opposition to the Jewish group,” Herzog mentioned.

    “The rise in antisemitic violence throughout Europe, together with the assault on a synagogue in Belgium… is deeply regarding and calls for a powerful and unequivocal response.”

    The collection of assaults comes after the Feb 28 launch of the US-Israeli struggle on Iran, a battle that has since broadened throughout the Center East.
