SANAA, Yemen: Yemen’s Houthis on Wednesday (Apr 1) claimed a missile assault towards Israel that they stated was launched collectively with their backer Iran and Lebanon’s Hezbollah group – the third such assault by the rebels since they entered the Middle East war.
Earlier on Wednesday, Israel’s navy stated its air defences had responded to a missile launched from Yemen, later saying that residents had been “permitted to go away protected areas in all areas of the nation”.
Israeli media stated the missile was intercepted, and there have been no stories of any casualties or injury.
The Houthis “carried out the third navy operation … focusing on delicate Israeli enemy targets … with a barrage of ballistic missiles”, Houthi navy spokesman Yahya Saree stated in a video assertion.
“This operation was performed collectively with our mujahideen brothers in Iran and Hezbollah in Lebanon,” he added.
Yemen’s Iran-backed Houthi rebels claimed missile and drone assaults focusing on Israel over the weekend, their first within the present battle.
The Israeli navy additionally stated on Monday that two drones launched from Yemen had been intercepted.
