    DUBAI: About 2,000 individuals together with safety personnel have been killed in protests in Iran, an Iranian official stated on Tuesday (Jan 13), the primary time authorities have acknowledged the excessive demise toll from an intense crackdown on two weeks of nationwide unrest.

    The Iranian official, chatting with Reuters, stated that individuals he referred to as “terrorists” have been behind the deaths of each protesters and safety personnel. The official, who declined to be named, didn’t give a breakdown of who had been killed.
