RIO DE JANEIRO: Brazil, the world’s greatest exporter of rooster meat, on Friday (Nov 7) welcomed China’s transfer to raise a ban on imports of the product after an outbreak of chicken flu earlier this 12 months.
China and the European Union suspended imports of Brazilian chicken meat in Might following the outbreak.
Brazil stated in June it was freed from chicken flu and would resume exports.
“Progressively, all main importers of rooster meat resumed purchases,” the Brazilian Animal Protein Affiliation (ABPA) wrote on its web site on Friday.
