    BEIJING: China mentioned on Wednesday (Mar 12) it will take “all crucial measures” to guard its pursuits in response to new US tariffs of 25 per cent on metal and aluminium imports.

    “China has at all times believed that protectionism gives no means out and that there aren’t any winners in commerce wars and tariff wars,” international ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning mentioned, when requested in regards to the tariffs at a every day information convention.

    “America’ actions severely violate (World Commerce Group) guidelines, severely harm the rules-based multilateral buying and selling system and aren’t conducive to fixing the issue,” mentioned Mao.

    “China will even take all crucial measures to safeguard its professional rights and pursuits,” she added.
