Longtime Indianapolis Colts proprietor Jim Irsay has died on the age of 65, the crew introduced on Wednesday.
The Colts shared a press release through social media on Wednesday that left the sports activities world shocked. The crew mentioned that Irsay “handed away peacefully in his sleep” on Wednesday afternoon.
“We’re devastated to announce our beloved Proprietor & CEO, Jim Irsay, handed away peacefully in his sleep this afternoon. Jim’s dedication and fervour for the Indianapolis Colts along with his generosity, dedication to the group, and most significantly, his love for his household had been unsurpassed,” the crew mentioned in its assertion.
