    A passenger plane departing from Reagan Washington Nationwide Airport crashed into the Potomac River, resulting in a swift and coordinated rescue operation.

    4 people have been rescued from the frigid waters and are receiving medical consideration.

    The Gateway Pundit reported a second in the past {that a} mid-air collision occurred over the Potomac River close to Washington, D.C., involving American Eagle Flight 5342 and a U.S. Military Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter.

    The collision resulted in each plane crashing into the icy waters under.

    American Eagle Flight 5342, operated by PSA Airways, was en route from Wichita, Kansas, to Ronald Reagan Washington Nationwide Airport.

    The Bombardier CRJ700 regional jet was carrying 60 passengers and 4 crew members.

    The U.S. Military helicopter had three navy personnel on board.

    Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin said that “in depth sources are absolutely dedicated to supporting the search and rescue efforts” after the crash.

    “I’ve been briefed by our Emergency Administration group and Virginia State Police in regards to the tragic crash at Reagan Nationwide Airport tonight. In depth sources are absolutely supporting the search and rescue efforts,” Youngkin wrote.
