Re: “Budget cuts are hurting food banks. Time to step up” (Aug. 27, Opinion):

It’s certainly time to step up. Because the price range cuts take impact, we, as caring and anxious residents, can do much more to assist struggling households, seniors or individuals with disabilities put meals on the desk. We are able to do greater than donating canned items or cash or volunteering our time at our native meals banks.

We are able to electronic mail our members of Congress, schedule conferences and meet nose to nose with our members of Congress in addition to attend any city halls they’ve. Members of Congress will probably be on the town by the month of August. This offers a chief alternative to allow them to find out about insurance policies that matter most to you, construct relationships and maintain them accountable.
