Virgin Media O2 has apologised after hundreds within the UK reported they have been unable to entry the web.

Downndetector, which tracks web sites, confirmed greater than 10,000 individuals reported their broadband was not engaged on Monday morning.

Customers first started reporting points shortly after 10:00 GMT.

“We apologise for any inconvenience and are working to repair this as a precedence,” a Virgin spokesperson instructed the BBC.

“We’re conscious that some prospects are experiencing intermittent points with their providers,” they stated.

The agency says on its web site that along with O2, it represents greater than 45m cell, broadband, house and telephone prospects throughout the UK.

It reported having 5.7 million broadband prospects in October 2024.

In January 2024, Ofcom stated that Virgin Media was the UK’s most-complained about broadband provider.

It has since improved in Ofcom’s standings and in February 2025 the regulator found it had fewer complaints than TalkTalk, EE and NOW Broadband.
