    Former NY Jets Star Nick Mangold Dies at 41 | The Gateway Pundit

    Nick Mangold, a seven-time Professional Bowl heart for the New York Jets and former Ohio State star, died on October 25, 2025, in Ohio.

    The Jets nice died from problems of continual kidney illness.

    Solely weeks in the past, Mangold went public in his seek for a kidney donor. He was 41 years outdated.

    The New York Post reports:

    The Jets chosen Mangold within the first spherical of the 2006 NFL Draft and he shortly endeared himself to the group and its followers along with his toughness and everyman persona. Mangold had a trademark look along with his lengthy hair, backwards hat and bushy blonde beard.

    Mangold spent 11 seasons with the Jets and was a key piece of the 2009 and 2010 groups that went to the AFC Championship sport. Mangold was twice chosen as an All-Professional and went to the Professional Bowl seven occasions.

    “Nick was greater than a legendary heart,” Jets proprietor Woody Johnson stated in an announcement. “He was the heartbeat of our offensive line for a decade and a beloved teammate whose management and toughness outlined an period of Jets soccer. Off the sphere, Nick’s wit, heat, and unwavering loyalty made him a cherished member of our prolonged Jets household.”

    Mangold retired after the 2016 season and was inducted into the Jets Ring of Honor in 2022. He capped off his acceptance speech at MetLife Stadium by cracking open a beer.

    Mangold’s former coach, Rex Ryan, tearfully spoke of the loss.

    The Jet’s honored Mangold sharing, “We’re heartbroken to share the information of Nick Mangold’s sudden passing.”

    Mangold’s alma mater, Ohio State, shared, “The Ohio State soccer program is saddened by the information of Nick Mangold’s passing and sends heartfelt condolences to his household and buddies.”

    Ohio State teammate Bobby Carpenter shared, “I believed we had extra time… however I’m grateful for the 23 years I knew you.”
