As child boomers, we’re happy with the Best Era of People and of our fathers who served our nation in World Warfare II: a U.S. Marine Corps fight pilot within the Pacific and a U.S. Military officer in Basic Dwight D. Eisenhower’s HQ for the Supreme Allied Command in Europe. Navy officers, each adorned for distinctive service and heroism. And our moms who served and sacrificed on the homefront. They went to warfare to defeat fascism and imperialism. They continued their commitments by the United Nations battle in Korea.

Now, we give thanks day-after-day that they’re gone, not alive to undergo with seeing what President Donald Trump is doing to threaten the peace that has lasted 80 years, violate the Structure and legal guidelines of the land, forfeit our nation’s stature around the globe, and betray our allies and the group of free nations.

    God save America.

William Phillips and Suzanne Stokoe Phillips, Edmonds
