    Iran has repeatedly threatened to shut the Strait of Hormuz in retaliation towards any assault, which might choke a fifth of world oil flows and ship crude costs sharply greater.

    The waterway connects the largest Gulf oil producers, resembling Saudi Arabia, Iran, Iraq and the United Arab Emirates, with the Gulf of Oman and the Arabian Sea.

    Iran‘s Revolutionary Guards have carried out a drill named “Good Management of the Strait of Hormuz”, to check the readiness of the guards’ naval items to guard the waterway, the semi-official Tasnim information company mentioned on Monday.

    “Intelligently utilising the geopolitical benefits of the Islamic Republic within the Persian Gulf and the Sea of Oman are among the many fundamental goals of this train,” Tasnim mentioned.
