    Re: “Israel expands attacks in Gaza” (Might 17, Nation & World):

    Tragically, once more we be taught of Israeli airstrikes and civilian deaths, principally girls and youngsters. It’s going to proceed to be this manner so long as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his navy leaders assume they’ll defeat Hamas by dropping bombs.

    It took the U.S. years and years to be taught in Vietnam the conflict couldn’t be gained by bombing. When the enemy hides among the many native inhabitants and conducts guerrilla warfare, no quantity of bombing will win the conflict. Till Israeli management is prepared to place “boots on the bottom,” in drive, this conflict will proceed. Sending in floor forces can be ugly and expensive.
