The Home of Representatives handed the Republican spending invoice in a 217-215 vote on Tuesday night.
Rep. Massie was the one Republican to vote “no” on Trump’s “large stunning invoice” which boasts $2 trillion in cuts.
The funds package deal units the stage for tax cuts, immigration reform, home power growth and Pentagon funding.

With a push from President Donald Trump, Home Republicans despatched a GOP funds blueprint to passage Tuesday, a step towards delivering his “large, stunning invoice” with $4.5 trillion in tax breaks and $2 trillion in spending cuts regardless of a wall of opposition from Democrats and discomfort amongst Republicans.
Home Speaker Mike Johnson had virtually no votes to spare in his bare-bones GOP majority and was combating on all fronts — towards Democrats, uneasy rank-and-file Republicans and skeptical GOP senators — to advance the celebration’s signature legislative package deal. Trump was making calls to wayward GOP lawmakers and had invited Republicans to the White Home.
The vote was 217-215, with all Democrats opposed, and the result was in jeopardy till the gavel.
Following the funds proposal vote, Speaker Johnson declared victory in remarks to reporters.
“We obtained it carried out…Now passing the funds decision within the Home, it would go to the Senate. That is the primary essential step…we’ve a number of onerous work forward of us…Lot of labor but to be carried out, however we’re going to have fun tonight. We’ll roll up our sleeves and get proper again at it within the morning,” Johnson advised reporters Tuesday night.
