Tang was furious following the house loss on Wednesday and didn’t maintain something again in criticizing his workforce, going as far to say they didn’t need to put on the uniform.
“These dudes don’t need to put on this uniform. There will probably be only a few of them in it subsequent 12 months,” Tang informed reporters. “I’m embarrassed for the college, and I’m embarrassed for our followers, our pupil part. It’s simply ridiculous. We’ve received apply at 6 a.m. tomorrow morning, and we are going to get this factor proper. I’ve no reply and no phrases.”
Based on ESPN’s Pete Thamel, Tang is being fired with trigger because of a clause in his contract that references him doing something that brings “public disrepute, embarrassment, ridicule” to the college.
“I’m deeply disillusioned with the college’s resolution and strongly disagree with the characterization of my termination,” Tang stated in an announcement supplied to ESPN. “I’ve all the time acted with integrity and faithfully fulfilled my obligations as head coach.”
His contract reportedly had a buyout of greater than $18M.
