Almost each Home Democrat has voted towards a decision condemning the violent anti-Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) riots that induced chaos and mayhem all through Los Angeles earlier this month.

The decision, launched by Republican Georgia Rep. Earl L. “Buddy” Carter, aimed to denounce the riots that focused federal ICE brokers, broken property, and prompted the deployment of the Nationwide Guard and U.S. Marines.

“It’s our obligation within the Home of Representatives to ship a transparent message to those that hurt our native and federal regulation enforcement: You don’t have any place right here,” Rep. Carter mentioned in a press release in regards to the decision.

“As disturbing photographs emerge from the violent riots in LA, together with overseas nationals harming officers whereas waving different nations’ flags, we in Congress should make our stance completely clear. We again the blue, we help our ICE officers, and we are going to defend our cities from rioting, lawlessness, and destruction.”

Out of the 212 Home Democrats, 195 voted towards the measure on Friday, with 75 breaking ranks to help it alongside Republicans.

The Los Angeles riots erupted following ICE raids within the county that started on June 6, 2025, which resulted in over 100 arrests of unlawful aliens, in accordance with the Division of Homeland Safety.

Movies of the mayhem featured rioters throwing rocks, setting automobiles ablaze, and assaulting federal officers. Tons of of individuals had been arrested on fees starting from looting to failure to disperse. The unrest, centered in downtown L.A.’s Civic Heart, prompted President Donald Trump to deploy 4,000 Nationwide Guard troops and 700 Marines.

Protests and riots have since unfold to cities like Chicago and New York, with extra deliberate nationwide.
