    Ryan Day silenced his critics by main Ohio State to a nationwide title this 12 months, and he now been rewarded for his success.

    Ohio State introduced in a press release on Thursday that they’ve agreed to a seven-year contract extension with Day. The brand new deal can pay Day $12.5 million per 12 months, which makes him the second-highest-paid coach in faculty soccer behind solely Georgia’s Kirby Good.

    Day’s new contract has incentives which might be just like these in his earlier deal, according to ESPN’s Pete Thamel. The 45-year-old coach earned a $1 million bonus for successful a nationwide championship this season.
