SIDON: Palestinian factions in two refugee camps in Lebanon handed over truckloads of weapons to authorities on Saturday (Sep 13) as a part of a deal reached earlier this year to remove arms not underneath Lebanese state management.
The most recent switch of weapons, which has been sluggish because it started final month, happened within the Ein el-Hilweh refugee camp, the most important in Lebanon, close to the southern port metropolis of Sidon, and the Beddawi refugee camp close to the northern metropolis of Tripoli.
