    DOHA: Qatar’s ruler mentioned regional de-escalation on a name with US President Donald Trump and later met with Iran’s high safety official, the emir’s workplace stated in two separate statements on Wednesday (Feb 11).

    Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and Trump centered on “the present scenario within the area and worldwide efforts aimed toward de-escalation and strengthening regional safety and peace”, one assertion stated.

    The leaders additionally mentioned “supporting diplomatic efforts aimed toward resolving crises via dialogue and peaceable means”, it added.

    Later, the emir’s workplace stated Sheikh Tamim had met Ali Larijani, head of Iran’s Supreme Nationwide Safety Council in Doha.
