Re: “Hegseth, Trump take turns lecturing top military brass” (Oct. 1, A1):

The person within the White Home appears obsessed lately with receiving the Nobel Peace Prize.

If he actually needs to show himself worthy of such an honor, why doesn’t he start by bringing peace to his personal nation?

As an alternative, he seems to be doing all he can to incite division, instill worry and promote hatred of some “invasion from inside” — comprised, apparently, of anybody who isn’t loyal to his sacrosanct self.

That is scary stuff, of us — time to get up, take our heads out of the sand and communicate up in protection of all we stand to lose.

In that mind-numbing vaudeville present with “his” army leaders, he and his secretary of “battle” advised us exactly what’s coming to the streets of our nation.

To cite Maya Angelou: “When somebody reveals you who they’re, imagine them the primary time.”

    Jonni Coffin, Granite Falls
