    Re: “U.S. terminates funding for polio, HIV, malaria and nutrition programs around the world” (Feb. 27, Nation & World):

    Over the previous yr, together with the run-up to the election and after, I’ve been in a position to maintain a spot of equanimity. I used to be not shocked by the outcomes of the election. I stayed calm. I advocated for the change I wished and didn’t obsess over my disagreement with the brand new administration’s actions.

    That ended after I learn the article containing an extended checklist of the USA Company for Worldwide Growth tasks being terminated. I fell aside!

    I used to be in Colombia, South America, in 1968 when the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. and Robert F. Kennedy have been assassinated inside months of one another. My associates there requested me to clarify how/why that would occur within the USA. I had no rationalization then … and I’ve no rationalization now.

    My coronary heart is damaged.
