    ABOARD AIR FORCE ONE: President Donald Trump mentioned on Sunday (Jan 11) that the USA would take Greenland “by some means”, warning that Russia and China would “take over” if Washington didn’t act.

    Trump mentioned that controlling the mineral-rich Danish territory was essential for US nationwide safety, given the elevated Russian and Chinese language army exercise within the Arctic.

    “If we do not take Greenland, Russia or China will, and I am not letting that occur,” Trump instructed reporters aboard Air Drive One, regardless of neither nation laying declare to the huge island.

    Trump mentioned that he could be open to creating a take care of the Danish self-governing territory, “however by some means, we’ll have Greenland”.

    Denmark and different European allies have voiced shock at Trump’s threats over the island, which performs a strategic function between North America and the Arctic, and the place the US has had a army base since World Conflict II.
