    Capitol Police responded to an “incident” Thursday on the Democratic Nationwide Committee headquarters in Washington, D.C., based on posts by Congressional reporters about an alert despatched to Senate staffers warning them to keep away from the placement. The incident turned out to be a bomb risk. No explosives have been discovered inside or exterior to date in searches by Capitol Police.

    The DNC HQ is at 430 South Capitol Road, SE, a number of blocks from the Capitol Constructing and Congressional workplace buildings.

    The D.C. political world is on edge after the assassination of Charlie Kirk on Wednesday.

    Bomb Risk at DNC/ From a DNC spokesperson;
    “This afternoon, there was a bomb risk to DNC HQ that was decided to not be credible by the U.S. Capitol Police. Out of an abundance of warning, Capitol Police is conducting an inside sweep of the constructing. As DNC Chair Ken Martin has stated, political violence in each type has no place in our nation. We’re grateful to the U.S. Capitol Police and DNC constructing safety for responding shortly and professionally.”

    “At roughly 1:07 p.m., the USCP Command Middle was notified of a possible bomb risk directed in direction of the Democratic Nationwide Committee (DNC). USCP officers instantly responded and are presently checking the constructing and surrounding areas. To this point nothing has been discovered exterior. We’re checking inside the constructing out of an abundance of warning.”
